Pop music: Sarah Connor: “The music is a shit”

“Is shit what you write, her Ficka – because someone always has something to complain about”: Pop singer Sarah Connor (44) has released a new single from her upcoming album “Freigeistin” (May 23). In it she makes fun of all the insults that are circulating against her as a singer and woman on social media – and she sings her away, so to speak.

Tens of thousands have already clicked the video clip for the song, which has been online on YouTube since Friday evening. “Ficka” is the second decoupling from the tenth studio album Connors. It will be the artist’s third German-speaking German language-according to the number one plates “mother tongue” (2015) and “Herz Kraft Werke” (2019).

Connor reported from Mexico on Friday: “I am really happy that you feel it and that you share and celebrate it,” said Connor in an Instagram story about the single. The title “Ficka” instead of “Ficker” takes the web language, which is often thoughtlessly hewn out.

In the pop song, which lasts just two and a half minutes, it says: “I find it really bad – the music is a shit – why has it been so long?” Or also: “The tits are not real, and their style is so bad”. According to the text, Connor admits: “On some days I am close and that annoys me – because nothing and nothing of it is true.”
