Duchess Meghan visited the musical “Gypsy” on Broadway and hit the cast. She moved this deeply, as she reports on Instagram.
Duchess Meghan (43) gave an insight into her leisure activities. In the wife of Prince Harry (40), raves about her recent visit to the famous Broadway in New York City, where she looked at the musical “Gypsy” – and apparently moved to tears.
“If you get the chance to see ‘Gypsy’, then you absolutely have to do that,” writes the Duchess in her latest post and congratulates the “incredibly talented line -up and crew for the magic that you create on this stage.” To do this, she shares several pictures and videos that you show backstage together with the cast. For the theater evening, she carried a black silk blouse to a long pencil skirt with a cockfest pattern.
Meeting with Audra McDonald
Meghan seems to have visibly touched the meeting with the six-time Tony Award winner Audra McDonald (54), who plays the main role of Mama Rose. McDonald is the first black actress who embodies this role on Broadway. The article contains several pictures in which the two are in the arms, as well as a video that shows the intimate hug with tear -moist eyes on both sides.
“And to meet Audra McDonald for the first time last night …”, writes Meghan, supplemented by a crying emoji. She made her performance “absolutely speechless” and provided “full body geese”. “I don’t think there was a dry eye in the house, and if the theater did not have to close for the night, the standing ovation would still continue,” she continues to enthusiastically.

McDonald is also pleased with the royal visit and, for their part, shares: “Thank you, dear Meghan, it was a pleasure to have you with ‘Gypsy’ in the evening!” She also complements a photo on which the Duchess can be seen radiantly with a dog on her arm. McDonald should be known to the German audience primarily through series roles in “Private Practice”, “The Good Fight” or “The Gilded Age”.
