The Swedish Prince Carl Philip and his wife Sofia have announced the appointment for the baptism of their daughter Ines. It is a special day for the couple.
The daughter of Prince Carl Philip (45) and Princess Sofia (40) is certain. The little princess Ines, who saw the light of day as the fourth child of the couple in February, is baptized on June 13th. For the Swedish Royal couple, this day is twice significant – it is also her tenth wedding day.

Ines is the fourth child of the royal couple and the only daughter after Prince Alexander, Prince Gabriel and Prince Julian. As the Swedish royal family in Stockholm announced after the birth, it was born on Friday, February 7, 2025, at 1:10 p.m. in the Danderyds Hospital.
That means the names of the princess
The little princess is completely called Ines Marie Lilian Silvia and is entitled Duchess of Västerbotten. The first first name Ines is the Spanish version of the German first name Agnes and originally comes from ancient Greek “Hagnos”, which means “the holy” or “the pure”. Family members are honored with the other first names: Silvia is a tribute to Carl Philips mother, Queen Silvia. Marie is reminiscent of Princess Sofia’s mother Marie Britt Rotman. With the name Lilian, the family of the late Princess Lilian (1915-2013), the aunt of King Carl Gustaf.
