Mario Ernesto Sánchez: “Miami Vice” actor is dead

Mario Ernesto Sánchez (1947-2025) died at the age of 78. The actor “died of a long and painful illness”. His team announced this.

Sánchez, who was born in Cuba and moved to the United States at the age of 15, can look back on a long career. Already in 1979 he founded a theater in Florida. He then played in some episodes of the “Miami Vice” 80s series alongside Don Johnson (75) and Philip Michael Thomas (75). Mario Ernesto Sánchez was also there in the film “Miami Vice” from 2006.

He had another known role in the British sitcom “Only Fools and Horses”, in which he played a drug baron. He also appeared in the film “Invasion USA” with Chuck Norris (85) or in 1994 in the action film “The Specialist” in the film “Invasion USA”. According to the reports, Sánchez should no longer appear publicly in recent years.
