The US rapper Sean “Diddy” Combs accused of sex trade and other serious crimes has rejected the recent two charges. The 55-year-old did not guilty on Monday at a hearing in front of the responsible federal court in New York. The process is expected to begin in May, in the event of a conviction, the new charges could mean a longer prison sentence for Combs.

US investigators had expanded the indictment by two more points in early April. Accordingly, it is about another case of sex trade and another case in which a woman is said to have been promoted with a vehicle for the purpose of prostitution. The new documents stated that Combs had over two decades “women and other people in his environment, threatened and compelled to fulfill his sexual wishes, to protect his reputation and to disguise his behavior”. According to court documents, the allegations come back to the 1990s, according to court documents.

The public prosecutor accuses the 55-year-old of sexually abusing several women and men and forced to participate in drug and sex parties with threats and violence. In the past few weeks there have been several house searches in Combs’ property in Los Angeles and Miami. The US federal police FBI confiscated electronic devices and documents as part of the investigation. According to the news agency “Reuters”, these searches are also related to a far -reaching examination for alleged human trafficking and severe sexual abuse. The investigations are therefore accompanied by a federal jury.

Public attention around the case is enormous. So far, numerous prominent personalities have been cautious, while speculations and conjectures are circulating on social networks (Read more about this here). According to the US media reports, some business partners are said to have already put cooperation with Combs on hold.

Due billions of empire

Sean Combs is considered one of the most influential personalities in the US entertainment industry. With his label Bad Boy Records, he significantly shaped hip-hop in the 1990s, and his record company produced stars like Mary J. Blige or Notorious Big. He expanded the company into a billion -dollar empire – with investments in fashion, alcoholic, media and technology.

An appointment for a possible start of the process has not yet been determined. The investigation continues. The first allegations against Combs had arisen after his ex-girlfriend, singer Casandra “Cassie” Ventura, had sued the musician in 2023 for years of ill-treatment and rape. Shortly afterwards, both agreed on a comparison. Since then, numerous other women and also men have complained against the rapper due to severe allegations of abuse and even rape.
