Princess Kate shows up in a new video at a scout event and speaks about the “power of time in nature”.
Princess Kate (43) turned to the public again with an emotional appearance. the wife speaks of the heir to the throne Prince William (42) about the “power of time in nature”. The clip was shot in an idyllic place in the green – in the middle of rushing trees, twittering birds and gentle light.
The recordings were created on an excursion of Princess Kate with a group of young scouts, whose chair is, to the Lake District in Great Britain last month. According to “People” magazine, the ten to 15 year olds made the natural research badge.
On site near the Windermere lake, she spoke to Chief Scout Dwayne Fields about her connection to nature. Kate also explained that the skills learned from the scouts are “life skills” that can be used at school, at work and beyond.
Princess Kate: “A walk helps me in difficult moments”
“Nature has a remarkable ability to bring us to rest,” says Kate in the camera. “Especially in difficult moments, a walk in nature helps me to draw new strength and find clarity.” It is a quiet, almost meditative appearance – and yet one who reveals a lot about her current state. Princess Kate has long been an advocate of the connection with nature, including the practice of “forest bathing”, but the outdoor stay has gained a deeper meaning during her cancer treatment last year.
From the beginning of last year, Kate had largely withdrawn from the public after an operation and diagnosis of cancer. Since then, she has been publicly rare, most recently on the occasion of St. Patrick’s Day Parade and the Commonwealth Day – but often only in a written statement or on carefully selected photos. In her first child after the announcement of her cancer diagnosis, the Royal showed itself in a photo where she poses outdoors and leans against a tree in Windsor where the family lives.
With the family in nature
Princess Kate has also passed on her love for the great outdoors to her three children. In a rare one in 2020, she said that she was happiest when “I am out in nature with my family and we are all dirty”.
The Prince and the Princess of Wales have probably spent a lot of time with their children outdoors in the past few weeks, since Prince George (11), Princess Charlotte (9) and Prince Louis (6) currently have Easter holidays. Usually William and Kate reduce their royal workload during the school holidays so that they can spend time with the family.
