Pulp confirmed and gave details of his first new album in 24 years “More”also the band presented the single smart “Spike Island”.
Jarvis Cocker And company have had fans waiting for a new material after having signed a record contract with Rough Trade last year after gathering again in 2023 for the first pulp shows since 2012, playing new songs while they were on tour, as “Farmer’s Market”, “Spike Island”, “My Sex”, “You’ve Got To Have Love”, “Background Noise” and “A Sunset”.
Last year, it was reported that the group was back in the studio after the Cocker leader was seen in Walthamstow, London.
Now the band has announced that “More”, their first album after almost 24 years, It will be launched on Friday, June 6. The album was recorded and mixed in Orbb Studio in Walthamstow E17 and was produced by James Ford. This album is also the first since the death of the bassist Steve Mackay In 2023. The album is dedicated to your memory.
Speaking in BBC 6 Music this morning, the band confirmed that “the album is finished for a while” and that the wait between albums felt “a life”, before completing it in three weeks.
