A peculiar connection is established between two teenagers from their fascination for an enigmatic television program. Owen, the protagonist, is an introverted teenager who lives with his parents in a suburban house during the 1990s.
He is a reserved young man, who prefers his mother’s company to his father’s, more severe. His life takes a turn when he meets Maddy, a teenager greater than him, with a more striking personality. Although it is also lonely, its isolation seems a conscious choice, a rejection of relating to its peers.
