Uma Thurman: People could find my recycling gross
Uma Thurman tries to involve environmental protection in her everyday decisions. One of her recycled methods may scare some, she says.
Uma Thurman (54), star made of action films such as “Kill Bill” and “Pulp Fiction”, is a big recycling fan. For example, she likes to use plastic bags with zipper in which you keep food several times, she said. “Some people may find me gross,” she admits. If you are a little dirty, wash the bags with water and soap, and hang it up to dry. But she pulls the limit when “someone chicken chicken in it or something”. “I don’t want to poison anyone,” said Thurman.
Thurman calls her type of environmental protection micronache. This means having an effect on the environment with small measures. She describes it as follows: “Pay attention to how you deal with food and how you choose it, you pay attention to the packaging of the things you buy and what you do with it, and you pay attention to dealing with water and electricity.”
The actress recently took the narrative role in a new documentary series “The Future of Nature” for the US broadcaster PBS.
