The Dutch Crown Princess Amalia shone on her head with a historic piece of jewelry on her third state banquet.

Princess Amalia (21) will once inherit her father Willem-Alexander (57) on the Dutch throne. She already put a truly royal appearance: at the state banquet for the Sultan of Oman, she shone in a noble robe and a Tiara with a special story.

Tiara from the 19th century

In honor of the visit of Haitham Bin Tariq Al Said (70), the king and his wife Queen Máxima (53) invited to the state banquet in the royal palace in Amsterdam on April 15. Princess Amalia in particular attracted everyone’s attention. She wore the lilac-colored robe “Ginkgo” of the British label Safiyaa in a cape look ,. The crown princess had kept the make-up with a pink lipstick and some glittering shade.

The Mellerio Ruby Parure Tiara on her head came out particularly well. The Tiara comes from the collection of the Dutch royal family and was manufactured for the royals by the French jewelry manufacturer Mellerio founded in 1613. According to the “The Court Jeweller” Hofjuwelier, the jewelry “around 1888” was made for Queen Emma (1858-1934) as part of a larger ruby set. It was a gift from her husband, King Wilhelm III. (1817-1890). A ruby -occupied subject also included.

As the twenty -year -old, Emma became the second wife of the 41 -year -old Wilhelm III. Daughter Wilhelmina (1880-1962), the great-grandmother of Willem-Alexander, emerged from the marriage. As King Wilhelm III. Died in 1890, Wilhelmina was only ten years old and so Emma took over the reign of the kingdom until her age of majority in 1898.

Each of the four Dutch queen since Emma has worn the Tiara – also Queen Máxima, whom she recently demonstrated in a state banquet in honor of Portugal in December 2024. Princess Amalia wore the Dutch Stern-Tiara at this banquet.

More and more appearances for the crown princess

The oldest of the three daughters of Willem-Alexander and Máxima are increasingly introduced into the royal duties. On April 17, 2024, she completed her first state banquet, where she welcomed the Spanish royal couple. In February 2025 she completed her first solo date at a baptism of ships in Vlissingen.
