“Deeply disturbing”: Melinda Gates via Bill’s connection to Jeffrey Epstein
In her new book, Melinda Gates writes about her separation from Microsoft founder Bill Gates. Above all, he is acquired with Jeffrey Epstein.
Melinda French Gates, former wife of Microsoft founder Bill Gates, wrote in her new book “The Next Day” that in 2019 she recognized the crisis in which her marriage was. The trigger was an article in the “New York Times”, which opened the connections of her then man to the convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. In retrospect, the 60-year-old describes the text as “deeply disturbing”.
According to the text, Bill Gates had met with Epstein several times, and an encounter is said to have taken several hours. After the first meeting in 2011, he wrote colleagues about the meeting-and enthused by the sex offender: “His lifestyle is very different and somehow fascinating, even if he would not work for me.”

Much later, in January of this year, Gates distanced himself from Epstein and admitted that it was a big mistake to spend time with him at all. “I was pretty naive. I thought it would help my work in the field of global health. In fact, it didn’t,” he told Wall Street Journal.
According to media reports, Epstein in 2017 tried to put gates under pressure by threatening to make an alleged affair with the Russian Bridge player Mila Antonova public. Gates had previously refused to participate in Epstein’s billion dollar funds with JP Morgan Chase. Epstein’s affair with Antonova is said to have taken on for years.

As early as 2022, Melinda had told how she met Epstein herself. You wanted to see who he is. Later she regretted having met him. “He was hideous. He was the personified evil,” she says in retrospect.
In 2021 the couple divorced after 27 years of marriage. Melinda Gates describes the decision to separate as “one of the most difficult and most important” of her life. Three children emerged from the marriage, Jennifer, 28, Rory, 25, and Phoebe, 22.
