As a couple, Matthias Schweighöfer and Ruby O. Fee have been walking through life since 2019. Finally, they increasingly conquered Hollywood together.
Matthias Schweighöfer (44) and Ruby O. Fee (29) have been officially a couple for over five years. At the beginning of their relationship, they contested their respective acting career separately, they increasingly developed into a power couple in front of the camera. The most recent example: the Netflix mystery series “Brick”, to which the streaming service has now announced the start date. From July 10th you will see Schweighöfer and Fee together – as a Hamburg couple Tim and Olivia, which, like the rest of the residents of a apartment building, is suddenly locked up through a mysterious wall in the building.
Netflix as a common springboard
The origin of the joint Hollywood career can also be found at Netflix. In 2021 Schweighöfer not only slipped into the same role in the Prequel “Army of Thieves” as in Zack Snyder’s “Army of the Dead”. He immediately took over the office of director in the Heist-Movie and was thus allowed to give his better half directing instructions. While Schweighöfer mimics the cranky vault Sebastian Schlecht-Wöhnert, Fee embodies the talented hacker Korina Dominguez.
At least in the Netflix film, however, their hearts do not beat for each other. Instead, Schweighöfer’s character falls in love with his order Gwendoline Starr, represented by “Game of Thrones” star Nathalie Emmanuel.
It also works traditionally – or without the other
From November 13th of this year you will also see the two in a “classic” film far from streaming services. Then the German novel adaptation “The Life of Wishes” starts in the cinemas. Schweighöfer mimics a desperate family man who suddenly gives the chance to implement all his wishes into reality. In addition to Henry Hübchen, Benno Fürmann and Verena Altenberger, Ruby O. Fee also includes the well -known cast.
Sometimes both stars get on the canvas or the television screen quite well without each other. Schweighöfer participates, for example, without a fairy in Fatih Akin’s new film “Amrum”, which, as recently became known, will celebrate its world premiere at the 78th Film Festival of Cannes (May 13th to 24th, 2025). And also in the international series “Vanished” with “Big Bang Theory” star Kaley Cuoco.
Fee, on the other hand, was recently in the seven-part ARD television series “Testo” without seeing her Matthias. And it also took place individually internationally: in 2019, when the two just became a couple of lovers, she worked in the Netflix film “Polar” alongside “Bond” villain Mads Mikkelsen with-splinter-fiber tech mecht.
