William and Kate will apparently spend the Easter holidays with their children. They leave the service in Windsor out.
Prince William (42) and Princess Kate (43) will probably not take part in the traditional Easter service of the royal family in Windsor. Instead, they should spend the holidays with their children Prince George (11), Princess Charlotte (9) and Prince Louis (6) on their country residence in Norfolk, as a source confirmed.
The heir to the throne had his father King Charles III. (76) informed in advance about the decision. “The prince informed the king’s intention to leave the annual meeting to enjoy extensive time as a family over Easter,” said the insider. “They decided to spend time together before the children go back to school.”
Last year, Princess Kate also did not take part in the service just a few weeks after her cancer diagnosis. William and the children also stayed away from the appointment. Despite his cancer treatment, Charles took part in the service.
These royals are expected for the Easter service
King Charles, head of the Anglican Church, will lead the royal family to the service in St. George’s Chapel on Sunday as usual. Among other things, Princess Anne (74) with her husband Sir Tim Laurence (70) as well as the Duke (61) and the Duchess of Edinburgh (60) are expected. Prince Andrew (65) and his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson (65), who had surprisingly participated last year, could also be there again.
King Charles III. And Queen Camilla (77) took part in a traditional ceremony on Maundy Thursday. The Royals paid a visit to the Durham, which was located in the northeast of England, to take part in a service in the cathedral there. The governing British monarch distributes gifts on the day to express his gratitude to people who have shown a special voluntary commitment and charity. “Maundy Money” has been presented for a long time. These are specially shaped coins, the number of which is determined by the age of the king or the queen.
