The plans for Donald Trump’s second state visit to Great Britain become more specific: the trip is scheduled to take place in September.
British media report that US President Donald Trump (78) will probably travel to Great Britain in September. He is supposed to visit King Charles (76) at Windsor Castle.
An official plan is briefly “before the formal agreement”. Prime Minister Keir Strandmer (62) spoke to Trump in a telephone conversation about the details of the state visit. In it, the US President said that he was a “honor” to take this trip. He also praised his “friends” King Charles and Prince William (42).
In Windsor he met the Queen in 2018
As “The Telegraph” reported, the government offered the White House several options for the place of the meeting. Trump will now visit Windsor Castle, where he met Queen Elizabeth II (1926-2022) in 2018. He was originally invited to stay in Balmoral or Dumfries House. It is still unclear whether the heir to the throne will also take part in William and his wife Kate (43). British media assume.
Second state visit would be historical
At the end of February, Keir Donald Trump presented a hand -signed letter from the king during his visit to the White House. The Premier emphasized that the last state visit of the US President in 2019 was an “enormous success” and the invitation to a second visit was “really historical” and “unprecedented”. Because in their second term, US President is usually not offered by a state visit.
