In 1977 the first “Star War” film came to the cinemas. 50 years later there should be a new film. What is known?
Canadian actor Ryan Gosling will take on the leading role in a new “Star Wars” film, which is due to celebrate world premiere at the end of May 2027. The film will be called “Starfighter” and introduce new characters, Gosling and director Shawn Levy said in a “Star Wars” event in Tokyo. “The film is a new adventure, they are new characters and plays in a new period,” said Levy. The filming should therefore begin in autumn.
The first film of the “Star Wars” saga was released in 1977 with Carrie Fisher, Harrison Ford and Mark Hamill. In the 1980s, films such as “The Empire beats back” and “The Return of the Jedi Knights” followed. New branches followed later. The “Star Wars” saga created by screenwriter, producer and director George Lucas is one of the most successful film series in film history.
