Rita Ora had to deal with the serious disease breast cancer as a teenager. Decades later, this experience is also inspiration.
Vera Ora, the mother of Rita Ora, had breast cancer. When her daughter Rita, who later became a world -famous singer, was 14 years old, the family had to deal with this serious topic and the bad fears. Twenty years later, the singer creates a new business from this experience.
In 2005 Vera Ora received the terrifying diagnosis. She had no symptoms, only an intuition revealed the trained doctor that something was wrong with her body. She told her herself in. “It cost me for a while until I found my self -confidence and could be intimate with my partner,” she confessed. The side effects of the therapy, which consisted of chemotherapy and radiation, also caused the doctor to create. “The tiredness was very stressful, even the nausea, but mostly, like probably for all women, the hair loss. I failed a lot of hair. (…) Hair loss is something that is scared because it makes the disease visible.
Vera Ora was 39 years old in the terrible diagnosis. Only a few years older than her famous daughter today (34 years). By the way, Rita Ora was discovered in the same year of horror when her mother fell ill. During a performance in a London park, the Swedish music producer Martin Terefe became aware of Rita and invited her to the recording studio.
Rita Ora has panicked to develop breast cancer himself
To date, her mother’s disease, which is healed, is an integral part of Rita Ora’s life. In interviews, the singer spoke of great fears in recent years of being able to develop breast cancer herself: “I am examining myself regularly. In my family, there was no breast cancer anamnesis in my family, but she still got the disease,” said Rita Ora in an interview with the British newspaper “Sun”. Sometimes she still has sleepless nights today, although the genetic test had no abnormalities with her and her breast regularly examines her thoroughly.
As a teenager, she developed a post -traumatic stress disorder through the enormous fears around her mother and even from panic attacks, which she pursued into her twenties, she told. Nowadays she has learned to deal with the fears through mindfulness exercises, even more: her mother’s illness became inspiration for the 34-year-old. Her statement that hair loss is the side effect from which women suffered the most, laid the basis for a business idea of the singer.
Hairs are very important for women, according to the singer
Together with the beauty expert Anna Lahey, she recently launched a hair care line called Typebea, which should focus on strengthening hair health, promotion of hair growth and the visible reduction in hair loss. The singer explains her inspiration for this business idea about the “Douglas” market introduction of the products in Germany, she describes the story of her mother and says: “I saw my mother’s hair fail, she was out, she was so strong, (…), it was so impressive as she reacted to her hair loss.
Rita Ora continued about the moment that was a turning point for her: “Oh my god, that is crazy. It was the first time that I realized the deep connection of a woman with her hair”-twenty years later after the illness, the singer is now entering the beauty business with this knowledge with TypeBea.
