Farewell to “The Voice of Germany”

Samu Haber announced his farewell as “The Voice of Germany” coach. However, he does not seem to rule out a return.

Samu Haber (49) will no longer work as a coach in the upcoming “The Voice of Germany” relay. “I decided to concentrate on my shows this year and withdraw from the red chair,” he announced in an Instagram post. It was really difficult for him to say “no” to something, “that is so much fun, and to so many great people who are in the studio every evening”.

In 2024, Haber, who became known as the front man of the Finnish rock band Sunrise Avenue and started a solo career, had secured the third victory at “The Voice of Germany” (on ProSieben and Sat.1). Born in the American Jennifer Lynn from his team, the native of his team was able to prevail in the final of the music show in December. He was already sitting on the red chair in the third, fourth, sixth and tenth season and celebrated his coach comeback last year after four years. “Thanks again to all of you that you made my sixth (!) Season so fantastic again and that you have recorded this Finnish guest worker with such loving arms in your world,” he explains in his new Instagram contribution, in which he shared a series of pictures from the 2024 final.

Kamrad: “Will miss to sit next to you”

With his usual humorous way, he added in his posting: “The best thing is that if I am not there, someone else can win the price. It is quite boring if the same coach wins every time he is there. Three victories in a row are just too much and my fingers are already too full with championship strings.” Since the show runs on TV in autumn, he will probably call at production and ask whether he could come back next year, he promised a possible return: “But now it’s time for big guitars, small songs and the people who want to sing my songs with me. I can hardly wait. A great summer is ahead of us.” He also gave “tvog” moderator Thore Schölermann (40) on the way: “Good luck to all of you and gate, be careful not to flirt with someone. You are part of me and I will watch you.”

Schölermann commented on the post: “I will always love you … only you!” Kamrad (28), who was sitting for the first time in 2024 next to Haber, Mark Forster (42) and Yvonne Catterfeld (45) on the red “TVOG” chair, wrote among the post: “I will miss it to sit next to you, but I can’t wait to share some stages with you this summer.”

It was announced that the remaining coaches also take “buzzer break”. “We say thank you for accompanying the talents on their ‘TVOG’ trip. Thank you for your coach fights, the incredible fun and the big feelings from the first blind audition to the live final. We look forward to seeing you again on the red chairs and are excited to see which coaches 2025 press on the buzz!”
