King Carl Gustaf and Queen Silvia: Royal couple sends Easter greetings from the deck chair

When Royals celebrate Easter, you first think of magnificent services and formal family reunions. Not so with the Swedish royal couple: Carl Gustaf (78) and Silvia of Sweden (81) are surprisingly down -to -earth. “Happy Easter from Jämtland,” says the contribution that the Swedish royal family published on Sunday.

In the photo, the couple sits extremely relaxed on simple camping chairs in the middle of nature. Both wear practical leisure clothes – Silvia a white and Carl Gustaf a brown outdoor jacket to hiking pants and shoes. With sunglasses on the nose and in almost identical pose, you can enjoy the spring air in the Swedish province of Jämtland. Bitch Brandie made herself comfortable at her feet.

The royal couple traditionally spends the Easter holidays in its hut in the mountainous region, which is known for its natural beauty and excellent winter sports. While Carl Gustaf still makes the ski slopes unsafe despite his 78 years – a second photo of the Instagram post shows him with cross -country skis in a snow landscape – Silvia still has to be spare after her operation.

The queen had undergone foot surgery three weeks ago because of her so -called Hallux Valgus, as palace speaker Margareta Thorgren confirmed. It is therefore pausing with royal dates for four weeks.

Where Crown Princess Victoria (47) and Prince Daniel (51) spend the Easter holidays with their children Princess Estelle (13) and Prince Oscar (9). However, the heir to the throne will probably also use the children’s school holidays for a private break. In any case, the passion for winter sports is shared by the entire family – Victoria and Daniel were only with the children on a skiing holiday at the turn of the year.
