Sven Martinek has completely changed his life: away from alcohol and party life, to alcohol abstinence and mindfulness.
Actor Sven Martinek (61) spoke in a new interview about his lifestyle. “I burned like a candle on both ends for a long time. Always on the go, lots of alcohol, parties – I was on the run from myself. At some point I realized that I couldn’t go on like this. Otherwise I would have broken it”,
The actor continued: “I was convinced: If I continue, I don’t do it for long. I drank too much, lived unhealthy, was constantly in the fast lane.”
Actor now coaches couples too
His process of change began seven years ago, says Martinek, three years ago he started “properly”. The reason for this is the “The Clown” star names his coaching training and his partner Bianca Rütter, who also works as a coach. “Today I live completely non -alcoholic, pay attention to my diet and my thoughts. I am careful with myself – physically and mentally,” says Martinek his new life.
He has been with Rütter since 2018, the couple now also offers couple coaching. While he used to “often run away with responsibility”, he also has close contact with his seven children today, emphasizes Martinek and says: “This is a great gift.”
Farewell to the party capital
In the course of his lifestyle, Martinek also said goodbye to Berlin, where he lived for almost 50 years. The actor born in Magdeburg sums up: “At some point I was through with the city. The constant gear, the party life – that was once. Today I find my peace in nature.” For that, Martinek moved to Mallorca with his girlfriend.
Despite his lifestyle, Martine did not complete with acting: on today’s Easter Sunday (April 20) he can be seen in the East episode “The Dream Ship: Miami”.
