Corona pandemic: Almost 32 percent in Germany fully vaccinated

The vaccinations are making progress: Almost every third person in Germany already has full vaccination protection.

Almost 32 percent of the population in Germany are now fully vaccinated against the coronavirus.

On Monday, 582,569 corona vaccinations were administered in Germany, according to figures from the Robert Koch Institute. 42,540,863 people (51.2 percent) are fully vaccinated at least once, and 26,274,154 people (31.6 percent).

Among the federal states, Bremen continues to lead the way in primary vaccinations with 57.9 percent, followed by Schleswig-Holstein (54.9) and Saarland (54.4). Six federal states have not yet reached the 50 percent mark; Saxony remains at the bottom with 45.5 percent of those who have been vaccinated for the first time. Among the fully vaccinated, Saarland continues to lead with a population share of 37.9 percent, Brandenburg remains at the bottom with 29.1 percent.

The vaccination campaign against the Sars-CoV-2 pathogen began in Germany at the end of last year. First, it was the turn of people over 80, residents of old people’s and nursing homes and medical staff. Among other things, chronically ill people with an increased risk of a serious and fatal course are also given preference. In the meantime, people can try to make an appointment regardless of the list of priorities that was previously in effect.
