Ryan Gosling will star in a new movie of Star Warswhich will be released in 2027.
After months of speculation, the news was revealed by Gosling and the director Shawn Levy In Tokyo, Japan, during the Star Wars Celebration.

Star Wars: Starfighter is set five years after The Rise of Skywalker (2019), and this fall will begin to be produced before being released on May 28, 2027, exclusively in cinemas.
Levy revealed that the film is independent and added: “It is not a prequel or a sequel. It is a new adventure. It is set in an era that we have not yet explored,”.
Gosling added: “The reality is that this script is simply excellent. It has a magnificent story with great and original characters. It is full of emotion and adventure, and there really is no more perfect filmmaker for this particular story than Shawn.”
After the actor’s comments, an image of his Child Star Wars sheets appeared on the screen, sent by his mother.
“Obviously, he still keeps them,” Gosling joked. “Of course he thought it would be something that fans would appreciate, but I suspect that he simply wants to justify years of hoarding.”
He added: “As you can see in the image, I suppose I already dreamed of Star Wars before seeing the movie. And my idea of what a movie is.”
Until now, the project, which Jonathan Tropper has written during the last two years, has remained secret.
The next Star Wars universe movie will be The Mandalorian and Groguwhose premiere is scheduled for May 22, 2026.
