Prince Charles was diagnosed with the corona virus for the second time. The palace has not yet announced how the heir to the throne is doing and whether he has symptoms.
“The Prince of Wales tested positive for COVID-19 this morning and is now self-isolating,” read the tweet from Clarence House, home of the heir to the throne, Prince Charles. “His Royal Highness is deeply disappointed that he is unable to attend today’s events in Winchester and will seek to reschedule his visit as soon as possible,” the statement said.

The virus has now been detected in the son of Queen Elizabeth II for the second time. At the beginning of the pandemic, in March 2020, the heir to the throne had already contracted Corona. At the time he was suffering from mild symptoms, but was all in all “well”.

Charles and his wife, Duchess Camilla, attended a reception in honor of the charity “The British Asian Trust” on Wednesday evening. “I think it’s fair to say that when the Trust has really been tested, it has demonstrated its outstanding qualities of resilience and commitment to helping people across South Asia,” said Charles in his speech, referring to Corona. “When the pandemic first broke, the Trust launched an emergency call to support migrant workers and those most in need in the region. I was delighted to be able to lend my own support alongside so many people in the diaspora to help get over Helping 150,000 people,” he explained.
He and Camilla are boosted
A little later, on Thursday morning, the positive test. In December, Charles and Camilla announced they had received the booster shot and encouraged everyone to do the same. “For those who have not yet been vaccinated – or are reluctant to get a booster shot – we can only urge them to look into our intensive care units and listen to those who work there,” the couple said.
