Surprisingly private insights from George Clooney: Marriage to Amal was a “jackpot” and they have never argued.
In a new interview in the highest tones, George Clooney (63) raved about his wife Amal (47) and emphasized that the two of them still had “no dispute” after more than ten years of marriage.
“The happiest person in the world”
The Hollywood star was a guest at “CBS Mornings” to advertise his Broadway debut “Good Night, and Good Luck”. But he also came up with his private happiness. His wife and he have “a really great time in life”. And he said: “There is no day that I don’t think that I am the happiest person in the world.”
He was “incredibly happy to have met this incredible woman”. Because he feels “as if I had cracked the jackpot”. Harmony seems to be very popular with the couple. Clooney remembered that in an earlier interview with moderator Gayle King (70), he had revealed that the couple had never argued before. He now stated: “We still don’t have that. We are trying to find a reason to argue.”
In 2022, the actor had said at “CBS Mornings” that it was “simple” to maintain a strong marriage with Amal. “The easiest in our lives, so to speak. We have never had any arguments.”
“Our children are funny”
George Clooney was once considered a convinced bachelor, which is why the relationship with the human rights lawyer was initially not trusted for a long time. But the couple married Venice in 2014.
In 2017 they became parents of the twins Ella and Alexander. He also found actors over the two children again: “Our children are 7, soon 8, this is a pretty great age. They are really curious and fun. All parents think their children are great – our children are fun and make us laugh.”
