Sony launched the movie trailer I know what they did last summerafter released the footage last month at Cinemacon. The sequel, directed by Jennifer Kaytin Robinsonwill seek to relive the horror franchise that premiered with the original 1997 film of the same name. He arrives at theaters on July 17.

The new film focuses on a group of five friends who face dangerous consequences after agreeing to remain silent about their participation in a tragic car accident. The consequences lead them to connect with two survivors of the 1997 Southport massacre.
“This is not the first time there is violence like this in Southport,” says Prinze in the trailer.

Robinson directed the project from a script that co -wrote with Sam Lanskyfrom an initial script of Leah McKendrick. Neal Moritz, producer of the original film, returns to the new one.
