Arnold Schwarzenegger started a new campaign. Celebrities now “pump” together with the “Terminator” star for climate protection.
The Earth Day 2025 is all about muscle strength – at least when it comes to Arnold Schwarzenegger (77). The Hollywood star and former governor of California launched his worldwide hands -on campaign “Pump for the Planet” on April 22. With this initiative, the Austrian native wants to set a clear sign of climate protection. “It is time to replace the standstill with energy and finally turn our frustration into energy for change,” said the former bodybuilder and with.
Prominent support for the campaign
Schwarzenegger’s initiative currently runs until the “Austrian World Summit” on June 3 in Vienna and combines physical activity with climate protection in an innovative way. The action star invites all people to share its own workout photos and videos on social media under the hashtag #pumpforthplanet.
Numerous celebrities are already participating in the campaign. The supporters include musicians and moderator Giovanni Zarrella (47), the band The Bosshoss, the actress Barbara Meier (38), “The mountain doctor” Hans Sigl (55) or “Gladiator” star Ralf Möller (66).
The campaign shows how physical activity, health and habit changes can be associated with environmental and climate protection. Examples, for example, are called cycling or the use of public transport for the way of working, collecting together or switching to reusable drinking bottles.
Schwarzenegger, who has been committed to climate protection for years, wants to set a sign against passivity with “Pump for the Planet”: “Whenever you start to whine, ask yourself: What can I do? The “Terminator” star closed his call with one of his most famous film quotes: “Hasta la Vista, baby!”
