Demi Moore and Bruce Willis were married for a good 13 years. The marriage did not last longer, but to this day the two are friendly.
After 13 years of marriage and three shared daughters, actress Demi Moore and Action-Held Bruce Willis (70) separated in 1998. But even after the divorce in 2000, their relationship with each other never fell, the 62-year-old now reveals in the “World’s Most Beautiful” edition of the American tabloid magazine “People”: “We have remained a family in different forms!”
Moore and the “die slowly” star suffering from frontotemporal dementia continue to be close as parents. Moore emphasizes that she is very grateful for “that we have remained a family regardless of the external relationship in different forms”. the “The Substance” actress recently demonstrated the cohesion of the patchwork family in March. “The foundation of making our children priority has never stuck,” she emphasizes.
Demi Moore: “There is a life after the divorce”
She also explains that her ex-husband Bruce Willis will always be her family and seems to want to send a message to freshly separated people, with the buildings built: “There is a life after divorce”. Moore married again. But her third marriage to actor Ashton Kutcher (47) failed in 2013 after eight years. From 1981 to 1985 she was married to rock musician Freddy Moore (1950-2022).
Despite patchwork happiness, it doesn’t always seem to be simple, Demi Moore indicates. With regard to her childhood with an alcoholic mother, she tried for many years to be the “best version of myself” for her joint daughters Rumer (36), Scout (33) and Tallulah (31). But: “I now know how important it is for our children to see us sadly and see that we are going through and arrive on the other. It is okay to be angry and overcome. I learned a lot, and I wish I had understood it earlier, but I also trust that everything is happening in time.”
What is grateful for Demi Moore today? “My family, including my four-legged family, my children and all the incredible, loving people in my life,” enthuses the actress, who won a Golden Globe in January for her performance in the current horror film “The Substance”. “I feel really happy.”
