Taylor Swift is no longer the youngest self-made billionaire. The new record holder owes her assets of the AI, not the music.

For US Megastar Taylor Swift (35) it is literally part of everyday life to set various records in and outside the music industry. However, it is now irretrievably going on a record. According to a current list of the richest people in the world, the musician is no longer the youngest self-made billionaire.

Accordingly, a woman named Lucy Guo (30) can now adorn herself with this title – and even with a clear distance. While Swift was able to break through the billion dollar sound wall for the first time at the age of 33, Guo has now succeeded in this feat at the age of only 30.

AI beats music

In contrast to Swift, the new record holder does not earn her buns with music, but as an entrepreneur with a focus on AI technology. So Guo founded the Scale AI company in 2016 and together with businessman Alexandr Wang. At the time of the company, she was just 21, even 19 years old.

According to differences regarding further company development, Guo Scale Ai had to leave in 2018. Since then, however, the company, based in San Francisco, has become a pioneer in the field of artificial intelligence and is now estimated to have a value of at least $ 25 billion. As a former co-founder, Guo continues to hold a company share of five percent and, according to “Forbes”, is therefore difficult for around $ 1.25 billion.

It has thus climbed into a very illustrious circle. There are only six women under 40 worldwide who can call themselves billionaires. In addition to Swift with Rihanna (37), this includes another musician. However, Guo has not yet been able to overtake the two stars: Swift’s assets are estimated at around 1.6 billion, which Rihanna estimates to be around $ 1.4 billion.

Incidentally, Guo’s former business colleague Alexandr Wang came to her in 2022: at the age of 25, appointed the youngest male self-made billionaire.
