With “American Pie” Jason Biggs became world famous in 1999. Instead of too much cake, he recently caused a different treat.
Healthier, slimmer and with significantly improved cholesterol levels – this is how Jason Biggs (46) are currently presenting himself to the public. The “American Pie” star revealed at the City Harvest Gala in New York City on Tuesday, which is behind its impressive weight loss.
“I had some cholesterol problems,” said the actor. He added with a wink: “Probably because of the ice cream mug that I destroyed.” For the 46-year-old, these health concerns were the trigger to turn his life up and to lose around 16 kilos (£ 35).
The way to health
Biggs’ way to better health was “a trip”, as he emphasizes. By converting his eating habits and his training program, he not only lost weight, but also dramatically improved his blood fat values. “My cholesterol level fell by 70 points,” he said proudly. The actor could not name exactly how long this process took – only that it took “a while”.
Openness about personal fights
It is not the first time that Biggs speaks openly about health challenges. It was only in March 2024 that he addressed his fight with alcoholism in the “All The Fail” podcast “All the Fails”.
“I went to therapy and worked on myself, but at the same time I left the therapy after I had a good session, went to the spirits shop and bought half a liter of vodka, drank it and then drove home,” he confessed at the time. In 2018 Biggs celebrated a year of sobriety after trying to become Clean for the first time five years earlier.
