The American singer and musician David Thomas (1953-2025) is dead. The front man of the band Pere UBU died on April 23 at the age of 71. The band has announced this on social media.
The lead singer of Pere Ubu and Rocket from the Tombs as well as head behind several solo projects, according to the announcement, died on Wednesday “after a long illness” in his adopted home of Great Britain. His wife and youngest stepdaughter were alongside the musician when he fell asleep. He is to be transferred to his homeland, to a farm in Pennsylvania. Thomas insisted on being “thrown into the barn”.
