At a award ceremony in Hollywood, Oscar winner Dustin Hoffmann and his wife Lisa showed themselves as a strong unity.
Dustin Hoffman (87) and his wife Lisa (70) are among the few Hollywood couples who can look back on decades of scandal -free marriage. In October, the actor and the lawyer celebrate her 45th wedding anniversary. However, they rarely appear together publicly. An exception was the 50th Afi Life Achievement Award on the weekend, which was awarded to the legendary filmmaker Francis Ford Coppola (86).
She had crushed in him as a child
In addition to stars such as Robert de Niro, Harrison Ford, Elle Fanning and Josh Groban, the Hoffmans had also come to the Dolby Theater in Hollywood to celebrate the director and his life’s work. The couple showed themselves intimately on the red carpet, repeatedly exchanged views and caught their arms around each other. Their close ties could not be overlooked.
They have also known each other for a long time: their families were already close friends. Dustin Hoffman, who is 17 years older than his wife, already knew Lisa as a child because his mother and grandmother were good friends. Like Lisa Hoffman, she had a crush on him very early.
Married since 1980
However, a romantic relationship only arose between them when they met at a funeral at the end of the 1970s. At that time, Dustin was in the middle of separation from his first wife Anne Byrne, with whom he had the daughters Karina (59) and Jenna (54).
Two weeks after the divorce, he married his Lisa on October 12, 1980. Four children – two daughters and two sons – crowned their long love. In March 2024, the two brought two of Dustin’s younger grandchildren to the premiere of “Kung Fu Panda 4” during one of their rare appearances.
