For decades, big Hollywood stars have not only loved the cinema screen, but also the boards that mean the world. Numerous well -known actors have played the theater stages on Broadway in recent years: Numerous sonorous names are currently frolicking in the occupation lists of the pieces. Broadway debut by George Clooney in “Good Night, and Good Luck”
Hollywood star with more than successful Broadway debut: Oscar winner George Clooney (63) can currently be seen in the Winter Garden Theater in the play “Good Night, and Good Luck”. Based on the 2005 film of the same name, Clooney plays the role of CBS journalist Edward R. Murrows (1908-1965) in this historical drama.

In mid-April, the play broke the record as the lowest sales of non-musical play in Broadway history. In the first full week of the game, the performance brought $ 3.7 million – as much as before no other staging. The average ticket price is $ 303.
Denzel Washington and Jake Gyllenhaal break with “Othello” record

From September: Keanu Reeves in “Waiting for Godot”
Keanu Reeves (60) has already played numerous roles during his long career, but the Hollywood actor has not yet performed on the famous Broadway. However, the star from film series such as “Matrix” and “John Wick” makes his debut in the Hudson Theater this year.
Reeves will be shown in the Broadway production by Samuel Becketts (1906-1989) “Waiting for Godot”. The piece officially premiere on September 28th. Previews should already exist from September 13th. “Waiting for Godot” is only shown until January 4, 2026.
Beckett’s play is about the two land strings, Etarragon and Vladimir, who are waiting for the arrival of the mysterious Godot. Reeves is supposed to embody Estragon, Vladimir plays an old acquaintance of the star with Alex Winter (59), who already performed on Broadway as a child. Together, Reeves and Winter already played the main roles in the “Bill & Ted” comedies.
