The jury of the 78th edition of the International Film Festival includes Hollywood star Halle Berry (58) and the US actor Jeremy Strong (46), celebrated for the “Succession” series. At the 78th International Film Festival of Cannes, which take place from May 13th to 24th, 2025, the jury will choose the winning contribution from 21 films in the competition. The golden palm is awarded during the final ceremony on May 24th. Last year “Anora” was awarded by Sean Baker (54).
It is a special return for Binoche
Binoche made her debut in Cannes 40 years ago. Since then she has been on the Côte d’Azur several times, but the jury chair is a very special honor. “In 1985 I went up the steps for the first time with the enthusiasm and uncertainty of a young actress. I never thought that I would return to the jury president 40 years later,” said Binoche in February. “I appreciate the privilege, responsibility and absolute need for humility.”
