Duchess Meghan: New trouble about her title

In the UK, after a podcast appearance by Duchess Meghan (43), new resentment is stirring. Because apparently she uses her royal title to advertise her lifestyle brand-and thus seems to violate an agreement with the deceased Queen Elizabeth II (1926-2022).

Prince Harry’s wife (40) was a guest in the podcast “The Jamie Kern Lima Show”. In the associated video you can also see a gift basket that Meghan sent the entrepreneur and podcaster Lima. In it, the famous “AS Ever” jam of the Duchess, two glasses of organic ice cream, some flowers, mint-and a note with Meghan’s royal title were in it. On the map, the script is emblazoned “her royal sovereignty, the Duchess of Sussex”. And that’s why trouble is burning. Because the duke had agreed not to use its HRH titles for commercial purposes after leaving the British royal family in 2020, as British media are reminiscent of.

Harry and Meghan resigned in January 2020 as working royals and began a new life together in California. In a statement at the time, the Buckingham Palace said: “The Sussexes will no longer use their HRH titles because they are no longer active members of the royal family.” HRH, an abbreviation for “his/her Royal Highness” (ie “his/her royal sovereignty”), is used as part of the title of some members of the royal family.

Since her exit, Meghan has spoken more often about her difficult experiences during her time in Great Britain. In her podcast appearance released on Sunday, she said Harry and at the beginning of her relationship they were “in the trenches”, which some interpreted some as a further swipe on the royals. “You have to imagine that, everything is very exciting at the beginning – but then we immediately went into the trenches together.” The couple apparently welded that together. “Now, seven years later, if you have a little more time, you can enjoy each other in a new way. That’s why I have the feeling that it is more of a honeymoon phase for us now.”

In addition, the Duchess, who performed in casual clothes and without make -up, chatted about her family life with the children Archie (5) and Lilibet (3). She revealed that she sends an email to the children every day to create a kind of “time capsule” that they could visit again later. In turn, she also received a letter from her two favorites who was read in the podcast: “We love your food. We love your pancakes and we love, love, love your hugs. You are the best mom and we love you.” Meghan said with tears in his eyes: “I didn’t expect that, they are just so great. So it’s so nice not to wear make-up, thanks.”
