Last year Boris Becker married his Lilian: In an emotional Instagram post, he congratulates his “one and everything” on his birthday.
Boris Becker (57) congratulated his wife Lilian de Carvalho Monteiro with an emotional post for his 35th birthday. “Congratulations on my birthday to my and everything!” It says to several photos on which the birthday child can be seen. Becker also writes: “My wife, best friend and confidante. The adhesive that holds everything together in my life. I am grateful for our way to date and look forward to our future together.”
Get to know the couple in 2019 and was engaged from summer 2022. The wedding on a small scale followed in September 2024 in Portofino.
For Boris Becker it is already the third marriage: the former tennis star was married to Barbara Becker (58) from 1993 to 2001. With her he has the sons Noah (31) and Elias (25). In 2009 he took his then girlfriend Lilly (48) to the wife, from whose relationship his third son Amadeus (15) comes. Boris Becker also has the daughter Anna Ermakova (25) from a fleeting acquaintance with the Russian-British model Angela Ermakova (56).
In retrospect, Becker said about his third wedding: “It was authentic, it was real and it was a magical weekend that I will never forget.” There he also revealed the most emotional moment: “Everyone cried, enclosed me,” Becker admitted. Portofino is one of the “most romantic places I was”.
In the same interview, he explained his love for his wife through his conviction for insolvency offenses in 2022. At that time he was convicted of two and a half years in prison and spent a total of about eight months behind bars.
Wife Lilian is his “number one”
“As you say at wedding ceremonies, you have to find a way together on good and bad days. We certainly had very difficult days because my personal situation was very challenging, but this really got to know my true friends and partners for life,” summed up Becker. “Sometimes you have to be tested to find out who your true friends or partner is, and that happened to me. I realized who was with me and who wasn’t. Lilian was number one.”
