The Kardashian process: Abbas defendant not proud of deeds

Yunice Abbas is on trial. He is one of the ten accused people who are supposed to brutally attack and rob it in France in 2016 in 2016. While others were presumably involved, he has long since granted his participation. He wrote a book about it. On the second day of the process that started more than eight years after the Kardashian robbery, Abbas now explained that he is supposed to regret his crime.

Abbas was one of the respondents on Tuesday who received the “grandpa gangster” nickname in the media due to their age. “When I listen to you, I have the feeling that they only feel like themselves. Do you have compassion with your victims?”, Of which he is described as “experienced petty criminal”. This was not the case before, he replied: “But this time I regret what I did. It opened my eyes.”

The many media reports are the reason for this. “The television stations spoke about it all day, and that made me ask me a few questions myself,” Abbas explained. When asked that the title of his book, which translates roughly “I took Kim Kardashian as hostage”, suggested that Abbas was proud of his deed, he shaken his head and said: “No, not at all.”

Before that he was less and less afraid of having to go back to prison, the longer he was. Except for him and the 78-year-old Marc Boyer, who is accused of having obtained a weapon with which Kardashian was threatened at that time, all other defendants.

In October 2016, masked perpetrators entered the Hôtel de Pourtalès, where they gained access to the Suite of Kim Kardashian, which was in Paris as part of the Fashion Week. They overpowered the 44-year-old today, captivated and threatened them with a weapon. The perpetrators captured jewelry worth several million euros. The process is expected to run until May 23. Kardashian is expected in court on May 13th and should then personally testify.
