Beatrice Egli can be seen on Saturday in the “Giovanni Zarrella Show”. Is there competition between the two music show guards?
Beatrice Egli (36) will be there as a guest next Saturday, May 3 (8:15 p.m. on ZDF) in the “Giovanni Zarrella Show”. In an interview with the Spot on News news agency, she is feeling whether the Swiss pop singer, who has her own music show in the first, feels competition with her colleague. She also tells what she wants for her own show, what she is planning for her Tikok account and why she believes that hits are so well received on the platform.
Your current single “Never listen to it” is popular on Tikkok and even only attracted attention with a prior snippet. How do you find the platform and how do you deal with your account yourself?
Beatrice Egli: It is really awesome that the pre-snippet alone was used by over 5,000 people for their videos in the shortest possible time and that we ended up in the TIKTOK charts in 30th place. I myself mostly used Tiktok in terms of my songs. But I am totally happy that my music and also my little moments of everyday life, Behind-the scenes videos, or sometimes moments to laugh, always get well there and I also have a very loyal community on this platform. I particularly like the TikK-Lives, because I just love the exchange with my audience.
“Look in” by Florian Silbereisen and Helene Fischer also started on the platform. Why is Schlager received so well on Tikkok?
Egli: I think the hit simply has a big earwig potential. I believe that a catchy music and a good beat – paired with German texts that you understand immediately. The hit also exudes a certain joie de vivre that fits the social networks. Because that’s what most people like to share – and also consume: Feel Good Vibes, good mood, positive energy and funny little everyday snippets. If this can be connected to great music in the mother tongue, that’s great.
Would you also coordinate your own music even more, for example that there is a suitable dance to the song?
Egli: I would like to do it. And I am very happy to see when the community also becomes creative, dances to my songs and develops my own choirs. A great goal would definitely be that we – my community and I – find new moves together to my songs.
In the song “Never stop with it”, they sing: “Maybe I will stop running at some point or to be so strict with myself.” At what moments are you strict to yourself?
Egli: Yes – these lines absolutely speak to me from my soul. Because I think we all know that. On the one hand, I am very perfectionist and very impatient on the other. If I didn’t get something right away, I was often strict to myself. In the meantime I can see the whole thing more relaxed and more as a process. True to the motto: the way is the goal. There is so much true things. Sometimes you don’t have to know the exit or the solution if you can discover, develop and create so much new, unexpected and exciting things on the way there.
They also sing: “Maybe I will stop taking photos to miss the moment.” Do you sometimes live little at the moment or how do you try to implement it?
Egli: absolutely. This is a great learning of recent years. At the moment to be able to enjoy and not to be in your head again or to be in the next project. Mindfulness is a big keyword, which I more and more integrate into my everyday life. For example, I allow myself to look out of the window more and more often on long trips and just enjoy the view instead of constantly looking at my emails. Just like when I see a nice sunset not to pull out the cell phone directly to document it, because the filter of the camera loses directly to beauty, closeness and special feature. And in the heart, beautiful pictures and experiences can be preserved much better anyway than in the phone. And that is exactly what makes you beautiful moments: when you stay in the heart.
You also announced your new album of the same name. What distinguishes the new work from its previous albums?
Egli: I’m really looking forward to my upcoming album “Never stop with it”. It is a more wonderful process in which this album is created. Because as the harbinger – precisely this song – promises, it should give us a lot of positive energy, good vibes and joie de vivre. It is about topics that deal with myself, motivate me or inspire me. It should give love, courage and motivation. Because we all never want to stop dancing, laughing and living, right?
You will appear at Giovanni Zarrella on Saturday on Saturday. You have your own TV show. Do you feel competition? Do you compare yourself?
Egli: I have absolutely no competitive idea. I think it’s beautiful that the German television landscape has such a colorful variety for us. I don’t see it as one against each other, but much more than one of them. So not only I was a guest in Giovanni’s show, but also in mine. I always find it nice to see how many people we can easily reach with music. And how many people we can give a nice evening full of emotion in front of the television.
What do you want for your own show?
Egli: I think it’s really nice that I now have so many guests from different genres. In the last edition of the “Beatrice Egli Show” there was, for example, pop music, comedy and musical. I am particularly pleased that I can give an incredibly talented newcomer a stage or that I can introduce the German audience to you previously unknown artists from my homeland – the beautiful Switzerland. I also think that we also have a room for emotional stories away from music or great artists. In the last edition, for example, we were allowed to listen to a great grandpa-grandchildren team that talked about their life and their very special connection. I would like to wish that for the future: that this show is an evening among friends who combines, touches, touches and enchanted various genres.
Would you like to do more in the moderation? Or is there anything else that you would like to do besides the music?
Egli: I enjoy so much joy in a wide variety of things. Of course, my heart beats for singing, for the German hit and for the stage live shows. Therefore, I am now happy that I will go on a big tour in 2026 under the motto “Dancing – Laughing – Life”. I also love to be entertainer, like to moderate and like to be a host. Since I also trained as an actress years ago, I would also like to make a film a film … I would find something like that towards home film or Rosamunde Pilcher. But as always, it is in life: I let my heart be my compass and I am excited to see where it will lead me.
You were in the past “DSDS” jury. Another season has already been confirmed. Would you return again as a juror?
Egli: I took part as a candidate in 2013 and I was allowed to sit on the jury on the other side of the pulse eleven years later. This is how the circle of this exciting and nice trip has closed.
