In the resumption against Harvey Weinstein, one of the alleged victims of rape said again. Shaken their words.
In New York, the resumption procedure against the fallen Filmmogul Harvey Weinstein (73) continued on Wednesday. The former TV production assistant Miriam Haley, who accuses Weinstein of raping her in his apartment in July 2006, described the events at that time. Weinstein had taken care of a job in the TV industry and invited her to a meeting in his apartment in New York a day earlier.
Harvey-Weinstein accused describes the crime scene
Haley indicated in court that he also accepted the second invitation to his apartment because she had already agreed to the film premiere. A driver clevered by Weinstein put them off there, led into the hallway of the house and then went. Otherwise nobody was in the house.
As she and Weinstein sat on a sofa, he suddenly “plunged” on her and tried to kiss her. However, when she drew him back, he is said to have stayed stubborn and “put me over with his advances”. Using his body, he pushed her into a bed in a dark bedroom.
“It became clear to me that I would be raped”
Haley describes that the massive film mogul at that time kept pressing her back onto the bed. “It became clear to me that I would be raped,” she thought at that moment.
She explained Weinstein that she had her period and was wearing a tampon. “He took out my tampon and forced himself orally,” she further describes the events at that time.
Already last week, two friends Haleyys testified that Haley had told them about the alleged attack by Weinstein in 2006. At that time, one of the two women advised Haley advised to contact the authorities. “I said: ‘Harvey Weinstein is the king of New York. He is extremely powerful; you are not. Let it be easy.'”
As in his first process, Weinstein vehemently denies all accusations raised against him.
