Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson have one of the most durable marriages of Hollywood. The couple has now celebrated their 37th wedding anniversary.
Tom Hanks (68) and Rita Wilson (68) celebrated their 37th wedding anniversary on April 30 with sweet social media contributions. The Hollywood dream couple showed its fans in very private moments – Hanks shared a photo together on Instagram after swimming, while Wilson is a cozy couple photo.
“37 years married. Today! Love you, Mrs. – Mr. T. Hanks,” wrote the Oscar winner on his vacation snapshot. Rita Wilson relied on even more emotions and added her picture with the words “Happy 37th wedding anniversary my dearest!” And a whole series of colorful heart emojis. The photo shows the two with a hat and jacket in a rough surroundings as the summer picture of Tom Hanks.

The history of the two began in 1981 on the Set of the ABC-sitcom “Bosom Buddies”. At that time, Hanks was married to his first wife Samantha Lewes, with whom he has the children Colin (47) and Elizabeth (42). The marriage was divorced in 1987. When Hanks and Wilson worked for the film “Volunteers” again in 1985, their relationship began to accept romantic features.
They gave their official red carpet debut in 1986 at the premiere of “The Three Amigos”. Two years later, in 1988, they said yes. The couple has two sons together: Chet (34) and Truman (29). After their wedding, Hanks and Wilson stood in front of the camera several times. But the couple also proved to be a successful team behind the scenes. Together with Wilson’s production company Playtone, they produced several successful films, including the “My Big Fat Greek Wedding” series and the “Mamma Mia” films.
