The Tony Awards are considered the most important theater prices in the United States. A few superstars are nominated again this year.
Hollywood star George Clooney may soon be able to expand his trophy collection by a Tony Theater Prize. The 63-year-old was nominated for his role in the play “Good Night, and Good Luck”, as the Theater Organization American Theater Wing, which awarded prices, announced in New York.
Stars like Mia Farrow, Bob Odenkirk and Nicole Scherzinger were also nominated. Most price chances have the productions “Buena Vista Social Club”, “Death Becomes Her” and “Maybe Happy Ending” with ten nominations each.
The Tony Awards are the most important price for musicals and plays in the USA. They only take into account productions that were listed in one of the approximately 40 Broadway houses in the New York Theaterviertel in the past year. The decision for the nominations go back to a committee of around 50 theater experts. The Tony will be awarded this year on June 8th.
