Vanessa Mai has her birthday on May 2nd and gives her fans a gift: she announces an album. What is behind the title “Dream Factory”.
“My birthday will be something very special this year,” says Vanessa Mai in an interview with the news agency Spot on News. The singer will be 33 years old on May 2 and use her honorary day for several special announcements.
The start is the launch party of her first own model line, which she releases together with QS. It is celebrated with a small group of selected fans. In addition, your new album will be pre-ordered from this day and ticket sales for your very first release party “Mainight” will also start in Berlin on October 11th.
“I am grateful for every year”
After the official part, it will be more comfortable: “After this exciting start, I end the day in a small circle with family and friends in a L’Osteria – of course with my own pizza, which also celebrates its premiere this week,” says Mai. By the way, the number 33 looks at her with humor: “A real number of schnapps! I’m just grateful for every year that I can experience healthy and happy.”
The singer does not value large birthday rituals: “I always let my birthday come to me and just enjoy the day as it happens.” She is also modest for gifts: “I am not a big gift person. I am most happy when someone thinks of me – that means a lot.”
New album “Traumfabrik” will be released in October
This gift should particularly like this gift: she announces her new album “Dream Factory”, which is scheduled to appear on October 10th. The title has a special meaning for them: “‘dream factory’ stands for my entire career. My husband and I have created a world together in which small miracles always happen – often unplanned, but that is exactly why.”
In terms of content, the listeners can look forward to personal insights into their lives: “I have been in a happy relationship since 2012 – and for me there is nothing more authentic than singing about this love. The album is full of joie de vivre and energy, but there are also quieter moments in which doubts and more thoughtful notes can be found.”
Summer time is a concert time
With her current single “Sorry”, Mai is already tuned in for the summer. She is also looking forward to the warm season privately: “As every year, we will certainly make a detour to Croatia again. Austria is also on the plan, and of course many summer concerts with my band – this year also with many new songs in our luggage.”
One of the absolute highlights in the coming year is her first “Mainight” in October for the musician, in which she will celebrate the release of the new album with her fans. Until then, she first enjoys her special birthday – and looks positively into the future: “I am looking forward to all the highlights that still unexpectedly come to me. I want to stay positive and be surprised.”
