“Bugonia”, the new Yorgos movie Lanthimos with Emma Stone and Jesse Plemons confirms their release date

The project is based on the South Korean science fiction comedy Save the Green Planet!, Written by Jang Joon-Hwan.

The Focus features studio will premiere the last film of Yorgos Lanthimos, Bugoniaon October 24 in a limited format before its general premiere on October 31.

Focus has the distribution of film in the United States, while Universal Pictures has the film in the rest of the world, without Korea, which is in charge of CJ ENM.

What Bugonia is about

In the film, two young people obsessed with the conspiracies kidnap the powerful executive director of an important company, convinced that it is an extraterrestrial that aims to destroy the planet Earth. The project is based on the South Korean science fiction comedy Save the Green Planet!written and directed by Jang Joon-Hwan and produced by Sidus.

Bugonia It stars Emma Stone, Jesse Plemons, Aidan Delbis, Stavros Halkias and Alicia Silverstone. Lanthimos directs from a script of Will Tracywhose recent credits include THE MENU AND SUCCESSION. Lanthimos is an internationally renowned director, producer and screenwriter, five times nominated for the Oscar, known for visionary films as The favorite and lobster.

The one -week cinematographic event will include projections of the film, which was filmed in Vistision, in selected places in New York and Los Angeles.

The film is produced by Ed Guiney and Andrew Lowe by Element Pictures; Yorgos Lanthimos through Push; Emma Stone through Fruit Tree; Ari Aster and Lars Knudsen of Square Peg; and Miky Lee and Jerry Kyoungboum Ko of CJ ENM.

The new Bugonia premiere plan comes while Focus continues to consolidate its catalog.
