Prince Harry strives for reconciliation – “don’t know how long my father still has”

Prince Harry gave the BBC an interview that makes you take notice. In it he talks about his wish to reconcile with King Charles – also because of his health.

Prince Harry sits in front of the camera in the jacket and white shirt, and it seems as if this day puts him quite nicely. The defeat before the British Court of Appeal in the debate about the protection of him and his family is devastating, he says in the BBC interview – and clearly speaks how rarely of a “reconciliation” with the rest of the royals.

The fights made no sense, life was precious, says the prince. “I don’t know how long my father has.” Therefore he shows himself openly, on King Charles III. (76) to approach. “It would be nice to reconcile,” says Harry, but he also says: “If you don’t want that, that’s your thing.”

The 40-year-old had withdrawn from the royal family with his wife, Duchess Meghan (43) five years ago and took his royal duties. The two live with their children Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet in California. According to various allegations, the relationship with the royal family is considered broken, the heir to the throne is Harry’s older brother William (42).

Harry’s defeat in court

The BBC interview followed the prince’s defeat again on Friday. An appellate court dismissed Harry’s objection to a decision that he and his family no longer automatically receive the same security status when traveling to Great Britain as the rest of the British royals.

Because of the security debate, Charles doesn’t speak to him, says Harry. There is a lot of control in his father’s hands. All of this was initiated by another government, says Harry. The Social Democratic Labor Party, the Conservative Party has been ruled in Great Britain since last year.

The responsible Interior Ministry had asserted that Harry received tailor -made precautions. Accordingly, it is not a question that security precautions, as they previously existed for Harry, would no longer be offered.

Harry’s status has changed, but he spends most of his time abroad. In contrast, Harry’s lawyer led the proceedings to the threat of murder of the terrorist organization al-Qaida.

Return practically excluded

In the interview, however, Harry also expresses: “I can’t imagine a world in which I would bring my wife and children back to Great Britain at the moment,” he says during the conversation conducted in California – and apparently quite affected.

He loves his country, says the prince, he always done that. What would his children miss now? “Well, everything,” says Harry. He missed the United Kingdom. “Of course I do that,” he says. “And it’s pretty sad that I am unable to show my children my home country.”

The alienation from the family in Harry’s autobiography “Spare” (“Reserve”) and a Netflix documentary series was captured. “Of course” some of his family will never forgive him of this book, says Harry. But still, he would like to be reconciled with them.
