Temporarily not in custody
Alfons Schuhbeck is currently temporarily at large despite a prison sentence. The public prosecutor has confirmed this.
Promikoch Alfons Schuhbeck (76) is currently at large. This was confirmed by the Munich I public prosecutor. “Mr. Schuhbeck is currently not in custody,” says one.
The reason was given that the 76-year-old Schuhbeck is currently not in prison because of his health. A “further enforcement of its total prison sentence” was therefore interrupted by the beginning of June 2025 for health reasons “. It is not known whether the cook may be ill or how he is currently doing exactly.
Schuhbeck has to go to court in June
As was already known in February, Schuhbeck will be done again in the same month. The Munich Higher Regional Court announced that the 12th Great Criminal Chamber (Chamber of Commerce) had “admitted the charges of the Munich I against the defendant Alfons S. for subsidy fraud, among other things, and opened the main procedure”. Four main hearing dates were scheduled – the first on June 24, 2025, the last on July 14, 2025.
In October 2022, Schuhbeck was sentenced to three years and two months in prison for tax evasion. The Koch had appealed against the judgment. In June 2023, however, the Federal Court of Justice (BGH) largely confirmed the judgment. The 76-year-old now competed in August 2023.
