No new film in years, public appearances are rare: But why do you hardly see Jack Nicholson anymore?
Jack Nicholson (88) is very rare in public. So rare that the Hollywood star has even been described as a “hermit” in recent years. And that is supposed to have a reason.
“But all of that gets you back after a while”
For more than 50 years, the actor has lived for the “New York Post” gossip side near the famous Mulholland Drive in a house quite modest for the conditions of a superstar. “He no longer likes to be able to look in public,” the newspaper quotes an insider from the industry. When the source saw the star last, the 88-year-old worked “a bit shaky”.
“In the past, part of his attraction was in his extravagant character and lifestyle. But all of this catches up with you again after a while,” says the informant’s view. “I think Jack and his closest circle prefer that you remember him as he was.” Having Nicholson in any noble restaurant has apparently never been easy. Already in 2002 he told the author of the article that he preferred to eat with friends in his home. Nicholson’s reason at the time: If he visits a restaurant, he always had to behave “like the mayor”.
Rare appearance by Jack Nicholson in February
Nicholson, who, thanks to films such as “Shining” or “One Flew over the cuckoo’s nest”, is still one of the greatest stars of the dream factory, was recently around 15 years ago with “How do you know that it is love?” To see in the cinema. In February there was once again one of his rare appearances. At the anniversary for the 50th birthday of the popular Sketch comedy show “Saturday Night Live”, the star was sitting in the audience.
