Is the really big career now? After “barbarians” Jeanne Goursaud landed the next Netflix hit with “Exterritorial”.

“Exterritorial” is leading the Netflix film charts. The German action thriller is not only in its home country, but also in the USA and in the UK. Jeanne Goursaud (29) plays the former Special Forces soldier Sara Wulf, whose son disappears into the US consulate in Frankfurt. The Afghanistan veteran is fighting through the building in “Die Slow” and white Bruce-Willis Memorial Unterhirt.

From “barbarians” to “dear child”

For Jeanne Goursaud, “Exterritorial” is not the first Netflix format for which she receives international attention. Between 2020 and 2022, she gave the female leading role in the Germanic series “Barbarian”, which was also produced in Germany. In martial outfit, she embodied Thusnelda, the wife of the Cherusker prince Arminius. It wasn’t squeamish either.

“Dear child” (2023) was even more successful worldwide than “barbarians”. In the first two weeks after its publication, the crime thriller was not English-language Netflix series. At the International Emmy Awards there was the prize as the best mini series. Jeanne Goursaud played the kidnapping victim Lena Beck.

International career thanks to bilingual parents?

So Jeanne Goursaud is our wife at Netflix. And not just ours. At the streaming service she could also be seen in the French series “Blood Coast”. As a tough drug investigator in Marseille.

Thanks to a bilingual childhood. Because Jeanne Goursaud was born on April 4, 1996 in Pinneberg as the daughter of a French father and a German mother. Already at a young age she attended a children’s acting school in Hamburg. In 2012 she celebrated her TV debut in the north German cult series “News from Büttenwarden”, later stopped by at the Hamburg youth detective series “Die Pfefferkörner”. In 2017, she embodied the Barbarella parody Babsirella in “Bullyyparade – The Film” in “Bullyparade – The Film”.

By the way, Jeanne Goursaud can also be found beyond Netflix. So she played in “Para – We are King” for the Pay broadcaster Warner TV series one of the four main roles.

Not much stands in the way of a very big international career. She was already seen in a Hollywood film, in Clint Eastwoods (94) “15:17 to Paris” (2018). In any case, she speaks fluent in the British series “Simon Becketts demonstrated the chemistry of death”.

Your next project could hardly be more international. In the French series “Kabul” she has one of the leading roles – filmed in English. Jeanne Goursaud plays an Afghanistan veteran. An indirect sequel to “Exterritorial”.
