Mercedes Morán will receive the Retrospective Award at the Malaga Festival

Morán participated in numerous outstanding Argentine films such as “La ciénaga” and “La Niña Santa”, both by Lucrecia Martel; “Moon of Avellaneda”, by Juan José Campanella; “The Angel” (Luis Ortega), “Submerged Family” (María Alché); and Sueño Florianópolis (Ana Katz), for which she received the award for Best Actress at the Karlovy Vary Festival.

In addition, the actress was summoned by the Brazilian director Walter Salles in “Motorcycle Diaries” and by the Chileans Pablo Larraín in “Neruda” and Andrés Wood in “Araña”.

In the foundations on the award that will be given to Mercedes Morán, the Malaga Festival highlighted the prolific career of the actress, who among other recognitions won five Martín Fierro awards, the Mar del Plata Festival Astor for career and three Konex Platinum.

In theater, Morán performed works by Arthur Miller, David Mamet, David Lindsay-Abaire, Woody Allen and Neil Simon, among others. And on television, he participated in popular fictions such as “Gasoleros”, “Socias” or Guapas (2014-15).

Last year he participated in the Netflix series “El Reino”, in addition to the production of Amazon Prime Video, “Maradona: blessed dream”.
