The 32-year-old actress, Billie Lourd, posts a moving snapshot in memory of her famous mother Carrie Fisher.
Billie Lourd honored her mother Carrie Fisher (1956-2016), cult actress of the original film trilogy on the unofficial “Star Wars” holiday. The 32-year-old actress divided into a picture of her children who observed her famous grandma in “Star Wars: the return of the Jedi Knights” from 1983.
On the fan holiday of the film franchise, Lourd’s four-year-old son Kingston Fisher and her two-year-old daughter Jackson Joanne are sitting in front of the television and watching her grandma during the war of the stars. The daughter, also an actress (known from “American Horror Stories”)), photographed the scene by Princess Leia and put her online.
Users show themselves moved in the comments: “Your mother has inspired generations – and now her grandchildren can see her. What a mighty moment,” writes a fan. Another posts: “Your children show their legacy. An allusion to the film quote “May be power with you”.
Billie Lourd maintains the memory of her mother since her death nine years ago. Last year she shared on Instagram on the occasion of Fisher’s birthday: “On my mother’s birthday, I try to celebrate as much as possible every year, but today I really just wanted to celebrate with her.” In some years she let her grief feel the warmth of her love, “for some years she makes me angry, for some years I feel deaf, but today when I woke up I just felt sad. I didn’t want to celebrate, I just wanted my mother.”
Fisher lives in the films after her death
Carrie Fisher, who died four days after a cardiac arrest in 2016 at the age of 60, became an icon of pop culture due to her memorable role as Princess Leia Organa in the “Star Wars” trilogy. She also slipped back into her role in “Star Wars: the awakening of power” (2015).
