Glue tiles: So easily give old tiles new charm
In many old apartments, tile mirrors are not very modern. They must not be replaced by tenants, but they do not have to tolerate the antiquated design either.
If the condition of your tiles is still perfectly okay, these can -purely theoretically -also be painted over with tile lacquer or color. However, this measure is only reserved for home owners, unless your landlord agrees with the beautification work (after all, questions costs nothing). Glue tiles: step by step step by step

- Clean the tiles so thoroughly so that there are no more fat spots or dirt residues on it.
- Pull up the film of the sticker at the upper edge and put it on the upper tile edge.
- Paint the sticker with one smooth – always from the inside out – and remove the remaining film.
- If the motifs belong, make sure that you merged seamlessly from tile to tile.
How to remove tile stickers
If you want to move or try a new design, the old ones have to to be removed. As a rule, this is not a problem, most manufacturers even advertise how easily their products can be solved by the tiles. Nevertheless, there is no guarantee, especially if the stickers have been on the tiles for several years that there are not a few signs of wear (i.e. residues from the glue). Or it is difficult to remove the film. These tips can help here:
Take a standard hair dryer and keep it over the stickers: the heat should loosen the glue and thus the film. Alternatively, you can also one (like the ceramic hob from the stove) use to loosen the stickers. In the end, there are still residues from the glue on the tiles, an alcoholic cleaner helps to remove the last traces. Then you should scrub the tiles again with water and some detergent.
