Spring is moving into the house for Valentine’s Day

Valentine’s Day is considered a holiday for lovers – but it’s actually much more than that. “Because you actually give everyone you love a little something, traditionally a bouquet of flowers,” says Günter Reichinger, Deputy State Guild Master of Gardeners and Gardeners Florists from Braunau. This shows that you care about the person.

With Valentine’s Day, spring also traditionally moves into the house. “This is the first opportunity of the year to spread spring fever with fragrant primroses, daffodils or hyacinths. And everyone is really looking forward to fresh green and cheerful colours.” And in addition, early bloomers are also sustainable, “because you can put them in the garden in spring.”

Natural flower arrangements are the trend this year, with light, creamy colors and, above all, pastel nuances being preferred. “By the way, this year’s fashion color is a lively pastel violet and has the beautiful name ‘Very Peri’,” says the master florist. And red or pink roses are of course still the absolute “Valentine’s Day classics”.
