Carmen Geiss still begins to cry today when she tells of her many miscarriages. For the 60th birthday she reviewed the time.
A few days ago, Carmen Geiss celebrated her 60th birthday. On the occasion of this day of honor, the entrepreneur also spoke about her past. In an interview with the TV broadcaster Vox, she tells of the worst time of her life.
“I had nine miscarriages and a pregnancy,” she admits in front of the camera. When asked how she survived, she says: “It wasn’t easy”. Which is probably still a mild description of reality. Honestly, she looks back and tells how she had already refrained from her desire to have children. What else was she left, according to this large number of miscarriages.
“At some point you have to rethink and say: ‘Okay, it really shouldn’t be like that. You are with your husband for you. You are alone for yourself and there are no children,” says Carmen about the attempt to change her mindset on this sad topic and the unfulfilled desire to have children. “At some point it was just number,” she admits.
Carmen Geiss: “Davina and Shania were number eleven and twelve”
Nowadays Carmen and Robert Geiss are happy parents of two young women. Davina, 21 years old, was born on May 30, 2003, only a short time later her sister Shania followed on July 30, 2004. Carmen Geiss was 39 and 40 years old when the child blessing still chose her. “Davina was also a number, number eleven,” admits Geiss. And number twelve obviously came behind, Shania.
Carmen Geiss come the tears when she speaks of the past and also from the realization that she was still very lucky: “It is so nice, that was the best time of my life,” she summarizes the pregnancies and births of her daughters.
Twenty years later, she was able to celebrate her birthday with the two young women – organized by her daughters. It should be that way, but the way there was a rocky one.
